The 2019 Honda Civic Ups Its Style and Gets More Safety Tech
For many years the Honda Civic has been a leader in its segment. The 2019 Honda Civic is here and includes several trims to choose from (including an all-new Sport model). You'll find great technology, two performance options, and a style that's anything but ho-hum. Visit us at Honda Santa Monica - right near Huckleberry Café and conveniently in the heart of Santa Monica, CA - to check out our Civic selection!
Style & Design
Since its latest big redesign, the Honda Civic has been sporting a more aggressive and athletic look, and the mid-cycle refresh continues in that direction. It has a wider stance and a new gloss-black grille; one of the sharpest automotive body styles around, the Civic is defined by a sleek profile, sharp lines, and iconic C-shaped taillights. If you get the Sport, you'll have bold 18-inch wheels and a center-stacked exhaust. With all these new, muscular changes, the Honda Civic would even make Santa Monica's Muscle Beach regulars a little envious!
All trims have a premium feel thanks to a dash layout that does a great job blending touchscreen features and buttons for climate and volume control without getting too busy. For additional refinement you can opt for a leather-trimmed interior that covers the seats, steering wheel, and shift knob.
Comfort & Technology
California residents spend a lot of time in their vehicles, so comfort is key. The 2019 Honda Civic sedan now has enhanced sound insulation; on the upper trims, you can get power-adjusting seats for a more ergonomic commute. There are heated seats for those few cool months in Santa Monica, but we think you'll get the most use out of the sunroof.
When driving in busy Los Angeles, you'll appreciate the safety and driver assistance features, which are just a few of the Honda Sensing® technologies included. Enjoy traveling around this great State? Then we suggest getting navigation and a premium sound system for all your playlists. The LX and new Sport trim both have a 2.0L engine with 158 horsepower. You can choose between a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT for those who prefer automatic. The EX, EX-L, and Touring trims have a more powerful 1.5L turbocharged engine with 175 horsepower and a standard CVT. Both options offer plenty of power for the vehicle's size, but if you want to regularly cruise the scenic PCH drive that starts in Santa Monica, we definitely suggest the turbo.
